Riparian Buffers

Adopt a riparian buffer ordinance, with a minimum buffer of 25', to protect the banks of streams and rivers from development. These buffers help protect water quality by slowing and filtering stormwater runoff as it flows toward the stream.
  • We like to better protect our natural resources (such as streams, wetlands, etc.)
  • We'd like to encourage development to locate in areas most suitable for new growth
