Regional Priorities

During the 1998 legislative session, the General Assembly created one set of common service delivery regions for all state agencies. In that same year, 11 regional development offices outside the Atlanta metropolitan area, and 12 Regional Advisory Councils, including a council for the Atlanta metropolitan area, were established to serve local governments, business, and development organizations throughout the State.
