egional Comparisons include tables that highlight key indicators
on all twelve regions. These tables are presented in four categories:
demographics, government, economy and social. This
same data is detailed under the Regional Profiles link. Click
on the Region you want to review then click on the Regional
Indicators link.
The demographics comparison table includes general information
on the population make-up of the region. The government comparison
table includes the number of counties and cities in the region
as well as the average populations. Then, the economy comparison
table highlights items like per capita income, unemployment rate
and poverty rates for the region. Finally, the social comparison
table provides the physician rate, infant mortality rate and teen
pregnancy rate.
