Salary Range:$3,253.19 - $4,477.36 per month (Salary is commensurate with experience)
General Description:The Programmer Analyst 2 performs complex analysis, program design and maintenance and programming tasks under supervision of the Systems Design and Development Manager. This position supports software systems for the agency, including web applications, intranet and internet sites, databases, and other software utilities. An important part of the development process is conferring with users to develop an understanding of their business objectives and application system needs to provide the most efficient and effective system/programming solutions. The position requires the ability to lead a project team and to provide training and operational guidance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:This position requires the following:
• Knowledge of multiple programming languages, systems and system designs
• Knowledge of systems analysis techniques
• Knowledge of testing approaches and techniques
• Skill in the evaluation of systems and programs
• Skill in analyzing programming code
• Skill in managing projects and using project management tools
• Skill in performing application debugging
• Skill in oral and written communication
• Ability to research, develop, code and document operating parameters to meet established service levels
• Ability to communicate technical information to customers/end users
• Ability to articulate and document the code in compliance with agency standards
• Ability to manage multiple tasks
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field AND Three years of programming experience

OR

Associate’s degree in computer science or a related field AND Four years of programming experience

OR

Six years of programming experience
Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to applicants who in addition meeting the minimum qualifications possess one or more of the following:
• Experience with ASP.NET (C#), SQL Server and ASP
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Microsoft Access, or SharePoint
• Experience in web application design and development
• Experience in database design and development
• Experience in project planning and customer/user interaction
