Appalachian Regional Commission Business Development Revolving Loan Fund Program DescriptionThe Appalachian Regional Commission, State of Georgia and DCA were seeking to increase awareness and use of the Appalachian Regional Commission Revolving Loan Fund by small businesses in North Georgia. The State divested the DCA of the loan management and administration of the ARC RLF to the party deemed the most qualified candidate: Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE). ACE has been providing loans to small businesses that lack access to traditional forms of credit for more than ten years. They work in partnership with banks to meet "credit gaps". Their personalized underwriting, flexible terms and ongoing assistance give businesses the support and capital they need to grow and thrive. They also offer "green" programs to help businesses become sustainable, operate efficiently and tap into new market opportunities. Since 2000, ACE has loaned more than $10 million to hundreds of North Georgia businesses, helping create or retain more than 2500 jobs. They serve 68 counties, including metro Atlanta. More information about Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs can be found on their website at www.aceloans.org. Appalachian Community Enterprises, Inc. |
