Best Practices and Georgia Examples Program Description | Contact Information Program DescriptionThrough more than thirty years of working with communities large and small across Georgia, our staff has learned to recognize the critical ingredients for creating a climate of success in Georgia’s communities. We’ve pared this knowledge down to ten Quality Community Objectives (QCO) and a supporting menu of Best Practices that your community may want to consider employing locally. These are proven tools and techniques other communities have employed successfully to achieve particular objectives. They range from simple to complex, incentive-based to regulatory, inexpensive to more costly – so that your community can choose those that best fit local needs and resources. Georgia Examples celebrate the communities across the state that are successfully implementing their comprehensive plans in a variety of ways. We highlight these communities and provide a description of each success story, including contacts for more information and indication of which QCO and Best Practices are represented in the success story. Please contact us if you know of local success stories that should be included as Georgia Examples, or if you would like help implementing any of the Best Practices.
