Business & Housing Expos Seeking To Connect Partners, Provide Informational Tools For Georgia’s Economy
June 12 & 13, 2009 - Six Locations
Georgia has always been a “can-do” state. In rosy and gloomy economic times, Georgians have worked together to develop innovative solutions that keep our economic engines running.
Today, as we deal with downsizings, bankruptcies, foreclosures and other challenges to our state’s economic health, we must engage and take actions that will prepare us for future opportunities.
Governor Sonny Perdue, Department of Community Affairs Commissioner Mike Beatty, Technical College System of Georgia Commissioner Ron Jackson, Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Ken Stewart and Governor’s Office of Customer Service Director Joe Doyle are partnering to host a series of business and housing-related expos. The expos will seek to bring business, homeownership and government resources together to share information about federal-state and private economic development tools and other resources that are available to encourage individuals and businesses to invest and/or continue to invest in Georgia’s economy.

WHAT:
Business & Housing Expos
DESCRIPTION:
Small business owners, entrepreneurs, home buyers, renters, realtors, bankers and local governments will receive the latest information on state and federal financing and technical assistance tools.
PURPOSE:
Expos will provide information on the latest federal and state financing and technical assistance tools that directly impact small business owners, entrepreneurs, micro-enterprises, builders, contractors, developers, first time homebuyers, renters, realtors, lenders, local government officials and economic developers.
*** Please note that the expos are "information-oriented." Detailed information on financial programs and subject matter experts will be available, but no lending or hiring will take place on site. ***
DATES/LOCATIONS:
June 12, 2009 – Technical Colleges in Albany, Hinesville and Warner Robins
June 13, 2009 – Technical Colleges in Atlanta, Athens and Calhoun

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13
